To help achieve project goals ECOMAR invites volunteers and supporters to enroll in our annual membership program.   Your support makes it possible for us to continue to provide outreach through the distribution of educational materials and promote "Conservation through Education."

Environmental Benefits

Membership dues are vital to inform coastal residents about current events and conditions of the marine resources they rely upon and share with them the "best practices" on how they can become involved in monitoring and conserving the resources many earn their livelihoods from.  Your support makes possible many activities including:

  • production and publication of educational materials
  • monitoring of reefs, beaches and sea turtle abundance
  • mainitaining the reporting mechanism for species monitored
  • maintaining ecologically balanced reefs by removing invasive species, i.e. lionfish
  • provide liaison point between stakeholders and scientists

It's up to us to ensure that the environment future generations meet is better than the one we are monitoring today!
