GLOVER'S REEF ATOLL - Wildlife Conservation Society

In 2014 WCS tagged 4 sea turtles captured during their annual in-water sea turtle survey at Glover's Atoll.  Tagged were 3 hawksbills and 1 green sea turtle.  The 3 hawksbills remained at Glover's Atoll and the sub-adult green traveled to Columbia and on the return trip stopped transmitting near the border of Costa Rica and Nicaragua. 2014 - Turtlemon EI

​Turtlemon was captured during an inwater survey in Glovers 2014 and fitted with a satellite tag.  For two years the turtles was observed foraging primarily inside the atoll in the southern patch reefs and later migrated to an area west of Utila, Honduras.  The tag lasted an exceptionally long time - more than 3 YEARS!  

2014 - Turtlebert EI

​Turtlebert foraged just outside the drop off on the northwestern side of Glover's Atoll and migrated to the area near the Laughingbird Caye Natural Monument in Belize.  ​This tag lasted 4 years!

2017 - Turtle Coney

Tagged in April 2017, Turtle Coney is one of 4 turtles tagged by WCS in 2017.  The complete migration path of Coney is not currently available, but do check back from time to time to see if it is updated.
